Cache memory stores all these data for CPU to work. Generally any website is created by java, css files, all these files contain some files which make cookie. And these cookies usually contain different themes of any website. All this information is stored in the web browser’s cache memory, be it an image, a CSS file, or a variety of JavaScript.

For this reason, when we need those websites for the second time, it is possible to display them from cache memory without further processing. This reduces the stress on other memory.

One more thing to note here that I mentioned earlier that the cache memory is usually added in two to three MB, but sometimes the cache data of an application we see from 400 to 500 MB, you would think that How is this possible.

Although cache memory is very small, it has the capacity to store any data in RAM and hard disk memory. So whatever storage we see is usually the storage taken from RAM and ROM.

Disk Cache

For most hard drives and solid state drives or SSDs, we see a certain amount of cache memory. Typically a computer processor has two to three MB or more of cache memory.

But on hard drive or SSD, this cache memory is given as a fixed amount. For example, in case of 1TB hard disk, 32 MB cache memory is provided.

This means that a certain amount of cache memory is given in the different disk storage of the computer or mobile, so that it can be combined with the cache of the processor or CPU and the cache of these disks can be done at a faster speed. Can you

Processor Cache

L1 Cache : L1 cache is also called primary cache. It is very fast but relatively small (size 2KB to 64KB). It is usually located in the processor chip.

L2 Cache: L2 Cache is also called Secondary Cache. Its capacity is higher than that of L1 Cache (from 256KB to 512KB). L2 cache resides on the CPU but can sometimes be on a separate chip, in which case it is connected to the CPU by a dedicated system bus. If the CPU cannot find an instruction in the L1 cache, it searches in the L2 cache.

L3 Cache: L3 Cache is developed to improve the performance of L2 Cache. L3 cache has more capacity than L1 and L2 (its size can range from 1MB to 8MB) but it is slower than other caches. However, the speed of L3 is twice that of DRAM. In CPUs with multiple cores, it is generally seen that there is a separate dedicated L1 and L2 cache for each core but only one L3 cache.
