Weather Update: Snow-frozen Ladakh-Srinagar, fog wreaks havoc in North India, know how the weather will be for the next four days?

The weather has changed rapidly. Cold wave has started in many parts of the country including Delhi-NCR. The hilly areas of Leh-Ladakh, Srinagar, Himachal Pradesh froze without snowfall. In Ladakh and Srinagar, snow has started freezing even in waterfalls, lakes, rivers and drains. Dense fog is occurring in North India including UP, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Punjab.

Dense fog has started troubling people in many states of North India. Visibility has also reduced considerably due to the fog. Due to this, road accidents have increased in many states including UP. Trains have started getting cancelled. Talking about Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the day temperature remained up to 18 degree Celsius here on Wednesday, while the minimum temperature reached nine degrees in the evening. Dense fog enveloped the entire city in the morning and evening. The minimum temperature in Ghaziabad is expected to go up to eight degrees. The day temperature was 20 degree Celsius.

Talking about Prayagraj, the day temperature here was 20 degree Celsius and it is estimated to go up to nine degree Celsius at night. The maximum temperature in Varanasi today was 19 degrees Celsius and according to the Met department, the night temperature is likely to drop below nine degrees Celsius. Talking about Kanpur, the day temperature here was 20 degree Celsius and it is estimated to go up to 10 degree at night.

It was very cold in Bareilly today as well. The day temperature here reached 14 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature here will be minimum seven degrees at night. The day temperature in Meerut today was 18 degrees Celsius and now it is expected to go up to six degrees at night. The day temperature in Saharanpur was 16 degree Celsius and now it is expected to go up to 4 degree Celsius at night.

Talking about Himachal Pradesh, the temperature of seven cities here has reached minus. In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature of seven cities of the state was recorded in minus. Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti recorded a minimum temperature of minus -7.9 degrees Celsius.
