Next year around 89 companies are preparing to knock on the doors of Dalal Street. These companies can raise Rs 1.4 lakh crore through IPO. In the year 2021, a total of 63 companies raised Rs 1.19 lakh crore through IPOs. At the same time, till November this year, 33 companies have raised Rs 55145.80 crore through IPOs. The names of Oyo, Fabindia, Yatra Online and Mankind India are prominent among the companies which are preparing to bring IPO next year.

Nirav Karkera, head of Fisdom, says that new-age technology companies got listed in the market at unnatural valuations. There has been a huge decline in these during the listing. Market regulator SEBI (SEBI) is also worried about this. SEBI is trying to make the valuation process transparent.

IPO market gave alpha return
Some IPOs that came last year may have caused loss to investors, but during some years the IPO market has proved to give alpha returns. Anup Bhaskar of IDFC MF said during Moneycontrol’s Mutual Fund Summit that the market has been quite flat during the last few years. But the special thing is that investors have made huge profits from IPO.

IPO can come for these companies
oyo : OYO had filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) in October 2021 and planned to launch its IPO in 2022. But, in view of the slowdown in the market, the IPO was postponed. Now Oyo has sought SEBI’s approval to raise Rs 8,430 crore through IPO in 2023.

Fabindia : Famous fashion brand Fabindia is also preparing to bring IPO. The company intends to raise Rs 4,000 crore through the IPO.

Aadhaar Housing Finance : Blackstone-backed Aadhar Housing Finance submitted draft papers to SEBI in January 2021. In May 2022, SEBI had approved to bring IPO. The size of this IPO is Rs 7,300 crore.

Yatra Online: Yatra Online has also got SEBI’s approval to bring IPO. The size of this Yatra (Yatra Online IPO) IPO is Rs 750 crore. The company is India’s leading corporate travel service provider with approximately 700 large corporate clients and over 46,000 registered SME clients.

Mankind Pharma : The IPO brought by Mankind Pharma could be the biggest ever public issue of a domestic pharma company. The estimated amount of the company’s IPO is Rs 5,500 crore.
