According to a Times of India news, in a media briefing in Beijing, China said that it does not have any information about the separate meeting between President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. While official sources mentioned that PM Modi is unlikely to have too many bilateral meetings in the summit. However, the possibility of a bilateral meeting with Xi cannot be completely ruled out. With the effort to reduce tension in Ladakh just before the SCO summit, it was being speculated that a bilateral meeting between PM Modi and Xi Jinping could be expected.
Sources also said that the possibility of a meeting between PM Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin is under discussion.
