Nadra chairman Tariq Malik said, “We have so far registered 44 lakh 30 thousand people from minority communities across the country which include Christians, Hindus and Buddhists.” During this, many MPs and leaders of Pakistan were also present. 3.5 million Hindus and 2.5 million Christians in Pakistan
These officials said that minorities are facing a lot of difficulty in getting legal documents and ID cards. Only 4 percent of Pakistan’s population of 220 million are minorities. According to the 2017 census, there are 3.5 million Hindus and 2.5 million Christians living in Pakistan. The minorities have alleged that the government of Pakistan has deliberately under-reported their population. Actually, Pakistan has become a hell for the minorities. While Hindus and Christians are being forcibly converted, girls are being abducted and married forcibly. Pakistani Hindus want to build a temple in Islamabad but they are yet to get approval.
