Lulu Mall Controversy: Ruckus in Lulu Mall over Sundarkand and offering Namaz, four in custody

Late in the evening around 7 o’clock three youths reached there to recite the Sundarkand. So the commotion started. A young man had reached there to offer Namaz. When there was a lot of commotion in the goods, the police was informed. Police reached the spot and took four youths into custody. Taking action against him for breach of peace, he was sent to jail. At the same time, the president and Hindu leader of Hindu Samaj Party, who called for the recitation of Sundarkand in Mal. Kamlesh Tiwari’s wife Kiran Tiwari has been placed under house arrest.

According to ADCP Southern Rajesh Kumar Srivastava, on Friday evening, some youths of the Hindu organization had reached Lu-Lu Mall to recite Sundarkand. When the security personnel stationed there stopped, the ruckus started. In the meantime, a young man started going inside by saying that he would offer Namaz. There has been a lot of controversy about this. On receiving the information, the police of Sushant Golf City police station reached the spot. Four were taken into custody by the police from the spot.

Sarojnath Yogi of Bhadohi, Krishna Kumar Pathak of Jaunpur, Gaurav Goswami, resident of Bharthana in Etawah, who arrived to recite Sundarkand from Hindu organizations, were detained. All three are describing themselves as Hindu Samaj Party workers. On the other hand, Arshad Ali, a resident of Saadatganj, who was adamant on offering Namaz, was detained by the police. Took everyone to the police station. Where a case was registered against everyone under the section of breach of peace and sent to jail.

Hindu Mahasabha leader Shishir Chaturvedi had on July 13 raised objections to the prayers offered inside the mall. He had called that the place where Namaz was offered. At the same time, Sundarkand will be recited at 6 pm on Friday. In this case, the manager of the goods, Sameer Verma, reached Shishir’s house and apologized. Later the Hindu Mahasabha postponed the recitation of Sundarkand. After this the security of the goods was also increased.

The goods management told those who offered Namaz to not be employees. He also assured that no such work will happen again. On Thursday, again two youths had offered Namaz in the mall premises. In order to avoid religious disputes, the goods management said not to allow religious or prayer.

At the same time, Kamlesh’s wife had received death threats last month. After which his security was increased. Kiran called for the recitation of Sunderkand. So the police put a guard at his house. He was barred from leaving the house. He was under house arrest till late night.

The Lulu Mall management has put up stickers at various places that there is a ban on religious gatherings anywhere in the mall premises. It is a commercial complex. There are 250 guards for security and 1030 cameras for surveillance.
