The media has been continuously confirming that the employees will get the good news within this time and some reports suggest that the Dearness Allowance may be announced in the month of Navratri i.e. 28th September. The government has not announced any official announcement. Still on the right date.

If the latest reports from media outlets are to be confirmed, dearness allowance may be increased to 4 per cent. That is, your total DA can increase to 38 percent. This is because the All India CPI-IW for the month of June is indicating the possibility of an increase in DA in the month of June. Apart from the increase in dearness allowance, employees can also get arrears during both July and August.

Dearness Allowance for Central Government Employees is updated twice every year. The first payment takes place between January and June and the second from July to December.
