school management committee dissolved
He said that the District School Management Committee has been dissolved and a new committee would be formed soon. Meanwhile, the Congress demanded strict action against those forcing schools to change the weekly holiday. Senior Congress leader Ajay Kumar said in a letter to Chief Minister Hemant Soren that strict action should be taken against anti-social elements behind this.
Kumar said that as per the information, some Muslim youths forced the authorities of two-three schools to change the weekly holiday rule. Muslim students were more than 70 percent in these schools. This was followed by more than 50 schools in Jamtara district. Kumar, a former MP and AICC in-charge of several states, said the right to education is above the right to religious practice. He urged the Chief Minister to make public the action taken against the schools.
