‘Awareness has to be brought about maintaining social distancing’
The Union Health Minister said that keeping in view the upcoming festival and New Year celebrations, the states have been asked to be vigilant and make people aware about wearing masks. Awareness has to be created about using sanitizer, maintaining social distance. At present, on an average, 153 new cases of Covid are coming every day, while 5.87 lakh new cases of Covid are being registered every day all over the world. In response to the questions of the members, he said that random checking of two per cent of the passengers coming not only from China but from any other country has started from today itself. Medicines are in sufficient quantity in all hospitals in the country and there is no shortage of oxygen. The Government of India has provided financial assistance to states from the National Health Mission, State Disaster Response Fund, Emergency COVID Response Package and Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.

Chinese variant not in Delhi, government ready to stop it: Kejriwal

Masks mandatory for staff in AIIMS, samples of foreign tourists are being taken
