New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party, which is preparing to contest the Gujarat Assembly elections, has appointed MP Raghav Chadha as the co-in-charge of the party in Gujarat. After being made co-incharge of the party, Raghav Chadha said, “I am very grateful to my political mentor and our leader Arvind Kejriwal for giving me this great opportunity to strengthen the party’s base ahead of the elections in Gujarat.”
“I resolve to give my best and work diligently to fulfill the aspirations of my party and ensure AAP’s thumping victory in the Gujarat elections,” he said.
In a scathing attack on the ruling BJP, Chadha said the people of Gujarat are now fed up with the BJP, which has been ruling the state for the last 27 years. The people of Delhi also gave us a chance by ending the 15 years of Congress rule. After that he never looked towards any other party and continued to vote for AAP and Arvind Kejriwal in every election because people are very happy with the performance of AAP government.
Similarly, in Punjab too, people turned away from the Congress and the SAD-BJP governments, which had been ruling the state in rotation for many years, but did not do any work there. Then people gave a thumping majority to Aam Aadmi Party and now they are enjoying good governance given by Bhagwant Mann Sarkar.
Today there is a wave of “change” in Gujarat too. People want change and they are giving immense love to Arvind Kejriwal and AAP. BJP has made Gujarat a den of corruption, drugs and unemployment. There is a huge amount of drug smuggling. Gujarat is also one of the leading states in unemployment. The people of Gujarat now want to try the Kejriwal model of governance being implemented in Delhi and Punjab and get rid of the corrupt and non-performing governments of the past.
He said that the growing popularity of the Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat has made the BJP restless. That is why BJP is using every means to stop us.
Raghav Chadha is credited with being the co-architect of the party’s resounding victory in Punjab, when AAP secured a thumping majority in the state earlier this year by winning 92 of the 117 assembly seats.
A party spokesperson said that young and enthusiastic leader Raghav Chadha is very popular among the youth. This is the reason why party supremo Arvind Kejriwal has entrusted him with this big responsibility just before the assembly elections in the state of Gujarat.
