Defeated his own son for standing against RJD, know who is ‘Bijuliya Baba’ on whom Lalu trusts blindly

Patna/Buxar: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), the largest party in terms of numbers in the Bihar Legislative Assembly, is believed to be elected as the president of Bihar state for the second time. For the post of state president, Singh filed his nomination in the RJD state office on Monday. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav reached the nomination program, where he congratulated Jagdanand Singh in advance for his nomination for the post of President. Singh is the only leader to file nomination for the post of president. In such a situation, Jagdanand Singh is believed to be the state president again. Tejashwi said that Jagdanand Singh would unanimously become the president of the state RJD once again. He has been a former minister. In the 2020 assembly elections, a big party has been formed as soon as he is there. Singh is believed to be the first choice of RJD national president Lalu Prasad. Jagdanand Singh is an old socialist leader. Not only this, he is one of the early companions of Lalu Yadav’s politics.

The socialist leader was born in the year 1945 in a farmer family. His father continued to serve the country by being a lieutenant in the army. Elementary education took place in the village school. He did his LLB from Harishchandra College, Banaras. Influenced by the socialist outlook, Jagdanand Singh became interested in politics. During this time, he came in the life of Lalu Prasad Yadav and again his life remained with him.

He became so attached to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad that if anyone has any doubts other than him in the party, it is Jagdanand Singh. This is also because in this long career of politics, neither did Lalu Prasad have any distrust nor Jagdababu. So, this pair of politics started with Janata Dal, so it has covered the journey from founding member of RJD to state president. In this journey, both the leaders never listened to their sons. Lalu Prasad Yadav’s son Tej Pratap Yadav has publicly said a lot about Jagdanand Singh many times, but Lalu Yadav never paid heed to his words and kept his trust in his old partner.

Jagdanand Singh was the hero of Ramgarh
Jagdanand Singh was MLA for 6 times from Ramgarh Assembly Constituency. And was a member in every cabinet of Lalu Prasad. For the first time in the year 1985, Ramgarh assembly elections were won on Lok Dal ticket. He won the 1990 and 1995 Vidhan Sabha elections on Janata Dal ticket. After this, the assembly elections of 2000, 2005 February and 2005 October were contested and won on RJD ticket thrice respectively. He won the 15th Lok Sabha election from Buxar by fighting against BJP leader Lalmuni Choubey. Contested 2010 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Buxar but lost.
Jagdanand Singh nominated for the post of RJD state president, decided to be elected unopposed… Tejashwi congratulated
There is another interesting anecdote related to the life of Jagdanand Singh. Jagdanand Singh was the Minister of Electricity Department in Lalu Yadav’s government. At that time, he had done a tremendous job of providing electricity to the villages of Buxar. Pleased with this, the people there affectionately address Jagdababu as Bijulia Baba.
Before the 2024 elections, RJD is again preparing to break into BJP’s vote bank, cast strings on the upper castes
Historic 2010 Legislative Assembly election
Hardly anyone would have had such a dilemma in politics. It was time for the 2010 assembly elections. Jagdanand’s son Sudhakar Singh contested from his father’s constituency Ramgarh on a BJP ticket. The dilemma was that the party on one side and the son on the other. But the old socialist leader Jaganand Singh not only gave his support to the party, but also established a dignity in politics by defeating his son in that election.

state president’s reins
When RJD supremo Lalu Prasad decided to stop the growing influence of BJP, he showed his complete trust in Jagdanand Singh. In the year 2019, he handed over this responsibility to Jagdanand Singh as the state president. It is time then and today’s RJD never looked back.
