new Delhi. The mini auction for IPL 2023 is to be held in Kochi on Friday. A day before this, the bowler playing for Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore has created a mutiny with the bat. This bowler played captaincy innings for his team in a match of Lanka Premier League. The name of this bowler is Wanindu Hasaranga. He is captaining the Kandy Falcons team in the Lanka Premier League and he made a splash with the bat against Colombo Stars on Thursday. Hasaranga hit an unbeaten 77 in just 34 balls at a strike rate of 226. Hasaranga hit 8 fours and 3 sixes in this innings.
Please tell that Hasaranga has been retained by RCB before the mini auction of IPL. In last season’s mega auction, this Sri Lankan leg-spinner was bought by RCB for more than 10 crores.
In this match of Lanka Premier, Columba Stars won the toss and chose to bowl. The bowlers of the stars showed this decision of captain Angelo Mathews by proving it right in the first few overs. In the very first over, Kasun Rajitha showed the way to the pavilion to both Kandy Falcons openers Pathum Nissanka and Andre Fletcher. Nissanka 2 runs and Fletcher got out without opening the account. After this, Kamindu Mendis also got out early. After this, captain Wanindu Hasaranga along with Ashen Bandara took over the innings of Falcons. Both added 92 runs in 55 balls for the fourth wicket.
